Göppingen retains 5th place

Both the fifth in the table Frisch on Göppingen and the sixth HSG Wetzlar and the eight-placed Rhein-Neckar Löwen collected defeats on Thursday. Göppingen lost to the promoted HSV Hamburg with 24:28, Wetzlar had to give up the HC Erlangen 26:30. The lions lost 23:24 at TBV Lemgo Lippe.

Especially freshly forgotten with a long distances, disappointing performance gave the great opportunity to break away from the competitors. Even from a red card against Hamburger Lukas Ossenkopp (24th minute), the Swabians did not benefit. Too often the hosts failed to HSVH keeper Johannes Bitter, who brought it to twelve parades. Casper Mortensen scored the hit for 21:14 for the guests by throwing back (43.). Bitter for Göppingen: national player Sebastian Heymann had to get off the field early with an injury.

In the relegation battle, the HBW Balingen-Weilstetten received a bitter 27:31 defeat at TSV Hannover-Burgdorf. In the 53rd minute, the Balinger were still on the go at 25:25.
