He appeared at the Closing Ceremony of the 2016 Summer Olympics to promote the 2020 Games of Tokyo, and March 10 is the National Day of Mario in Japan.

But above all, Mario is the emblem, the symbol, the flag and the image of the video game. Super Mario is the king of videogames. The legacy of it is the videogame industry that we know today.
